SynBio Collab with Korean Universities
In the recently published Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2012-13 universities from the Republic of Korea have soared impressively up the list, with an average increase of 23.5 places compared to last year's list. Center for Synthetic Biology at UNICPH is planning to enter into a close collaboration with two of these universities.
Asian universities have generally increased their rating substantially compared to last year, but the Korean universities on the list are the highest jumpers. The list is based on a range of factors including teaching, international outlook, industry income, research and citations.
Center for Synthetic Biology at University of Copenhagen is looking to collaborate with Sung Kyun Kwan University and Yonsei University, who have increased their ratings listing by impressive 97 places and 52 places respectively. The details of the collaboration are being settled currently, but an important cornerstone of the collaboration is going to be a special PhD-programme split between Korea and Denmark.
