Head of Center to give Key Note at Prestigious Symposium

The German Cluster CEPLAS is arranging its first international symposium entitled "From Complex Traits to Synthetic Modules" featuring an impressive line-up of speakers representing the cream of the crop within plant sciences and synthetic biology. Head of Center for Synthetic Biology, Birger Lindberg Møller has been invited to give one of the two key note lectures at the symposium.

The Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences (CEPLAS) was started with the goal of combining the synthetic biology and plant evolution analysis expertises of four renowned German research institutions in order to enhance plant productivity while minimizing ressource requirements. CEPLAS is made up of research groups at University of Cologne, the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf, the Jülich Research Center, and the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding REsearch

Professor Møller's lecture will conclude the session on metabolic interactions, which will also feature another University of Copenhagen Professor, Head of the DynaMO Center, Barbara Ann Halkier.
