Meet Britt Wray - new synbio PhD student

We welcome Britt Wray as new PhD student at Center for Synthetic Biology where she is part of Maja Horst's group at Department Media, Cognition and Communication. In her PhD she will be focusing on developing new methods for interdisciplinary communication and public engagement with synthetic biology using her art and radio practice.

Britt Wray is new synbio PhD student in Maja Horst's Group at the Department of Media, Cognition and Communication where she studies science communication with a focus on synthetic biology. Watch her 2013 TEDx talk at OCAD university, Toronto.

 

Britt has a background in biology, fine arts and communications, which she combines in making science documentaries and installations. Before moving to Copenhagen, Britt was working as a radio host and producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto where she focused on science storytelling for general audiences.

Now in her PhD she is developing new methods for interdisciplinary communication and public engagement with science biology using her art and radio practice.
