Site Visit by External Panel 30th-31st May 2013

UNIK Center for Synthetic Biology was founded based on a 5-year grant from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education. The grant runs until April 2014. Four interdisciplinary research centers were established in Denmark 2009 based on UNIK grants.

Each year, the Center for Synthetic Biology is visited by an external, international panel which is appointed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education. The purpose is to assess and discuss the progress of the center’s research, management and plans for continuation of activities beyond 2014. This includes interviews with researchers at all levels and groups within the Center followed by consultation with the steering group of the Center.

The site visit this year will be the last within the frame of the UNIK grant. The site visit will be followed by consultations between the Panel and the vice-chancellor of the University.
