Synbio Project "bioSYNergy" Receives Funds from UCPH Excellence Programme for Interdisciplinary Research

Center for Synthetic Biology becomes more crossdisciplinary after the project bioSYNergy has been selected as recipient by University of Copenhagen's Excellence Programme for Interdisciplinary Research - also known as the 2016 Funds. This allows the start of new collaborations with researchers at University of Copenhagen specializing in intelligent property and communication.

Synbio Researcher Receives the
 Investigator Grant of
5.9 mill DKK

Associate Professor Tom Vosch has received a 5.9 million  DKK grant from the Villum Foundation's Young Investigator Programme, to develop his fluorescent silver nanocluster technology so it can enable high-resolution fluorescence nanoscopy.

Exhibition on Biohacking opens at Medicinsk Musion

Come by and get first hand experience with biohacking equipment in the do-it-yourself biohacker lab that has been built in the museum! 
The exhibition showcases the promises of biohacking and synthetic biology. Center for Synthetic Biology is among the contributors to the exhibition.

iGEM competition information meeting. 5pm, BioCenter cantine, Ole Maaløesvej 5. Apply to join the Copenhagen student synthetic biology competition team!

5-6th March 2013: Center for Synthetic Biology's yearly meeting for 2013 will take place on the 5th and 6th of March in exotic surroundings in the Copenhagen Zoo. It will be an excellent opportunity to exchange scientific experiences and ideas across the disciplines present in the center. 

14-15th March 2013: Membranes and Membrane Proteins Conference. 

21st March 2013: Symposium on Synbio and Biohacking at Medical Museion
