SEMINAR: P450s in the 1000 Plant Transcriptome Project

David R Nelson, Associate Professor, University of Tennessee

The 1000 plant transcriptome project used OrthoMCL clustering to sort sequences into related groups. These were annotated automatically by comparison to Prosite and other databases. 404 orthogroups were tagged as P450 in the annotation. I recovered all sequences from these orthogroups and used them as the basis for annotation of the P450s from these 1000 species. Over 170,000 P450 sequences were recovered.
